Description
Located in beautiful Paro valley, about 2 km ride from centre of the town, Nemjo Heritage Lodge is a restored old farm house converted into a unique sanctuary. The entire top floor is converted into a luxurious penthouse like two bedroom suite with a large lounge area, overlooking apple orchards, rice paddies and pine forests. There is spacious lounging area, old farm implements and traditional woodwork and paintings, TV, tea/coffee station, mini bar and tiny nooks as reading areas.
On its lower floors, the lodge features an indoor bar and restaurant that can accommodate up to 20 persons. Outside, a café serving a selection of exotic teas and aromatic coffee holds sway in one corner of the enclosed gardens with manicured lawns and colourful flowering plants.
The lodge also provides facility of hot stone bath. A perfect way to unwind would be to soak in a traditional hot stone or relaxing herbal bath, the water supplied by a sparkling stream just over the wall.
From the lodge, there is interesting opportunity of a gentle walk through the paddy fields of Nemjo village. It leads to the ancient Lhakhang (Chapel), a rare insight into tranquility and naturally pristine ambience of the valley.
