Bhutan is highly organised destination with transparent and simplified booking procedure. Since tourism policy is different for regional (Indians, Bangladeshis & Maldives nationals) & other international tourists so procedure is elaborated separately for both these segments.
Booking Procedure for Regional Tourists
The travellers from India, Bangladesh & Maldives do not require visa for Bhutan however they do need an Entry Permit. To obtain this Entry Permit, travellers should be in possession of a valid passport with at least six months validity, excluding the month of travel.
Here is the step by step booking process:
Step 1
Travellers can choose any of the listed itinerary on our website or advise us to customize tour program as per their choice and specification. There is no restriction on number of person (s) travelling on a tour program and even single person is welcomed.
Step 2
Once the tour program is finalised, booking request can be emailed to us with all relevant details; date & duration of trip, number of persons travelling, entry & exit point (flight sectors in case entry & exit is by flight), full name of travellers as per passport , Number of rooms required, kind of surface transport depending upon information furnished by us, contact number of traveller (s).Also, the coloured passport copy (1st page of passport only) should be emailed to us which we require for processing E-Permit & booking flight seats.
Step 3
Once the written booking request received by us, we process reservation and revert with confirmation of logistics along with invoice and tour deposit & cancellation policy.
Step 4
On receipt of tour payment, we forward service voucher, air ticket, copy of e-permit and all local contact details including accompanying guide and driver’s name & mobile number. Travellers are now ready to travel & explore this wonderful Shangri-La, the Land of Happiness.
Booking Procedure for International Tourists
Except Indians, Bangladeshis & Maldivians, all other nationalities require visa for travelling to Bhutan. Bhutan tourist visa is not issued through Bhutanese missions or embassies abroad instead it should be processed through tour operator through which tour services are booked.

Also, the coloured passport copy (1st page of passport only) should be emailed to us which we require for processing visa & booking flight seats. Importantly, the validity of passport should be minimum six month, excluding the month of travel.
Step 3
Once the written booking request received by us, we process reservation and revert with confirmation of logistics along with invoice and tour deposit & cancellation policy.
Step 4
On receipt of tour payment, we process visa and issue flight tickets. In compliance with payment policy of Tourism Council of Bhutan, all tours to the country are in form of pre-paid, fully guided package tours and visa is issued only on receipt of full tour payment.
Step 5
After receipt of tour payment, we need minimum 7 working days to obtain e-Visa clearance. The copy of e-visa clearance is emailed by us to travellers and they need to carry its printout or e-copy which should be produced at check-in counter at the time of boarding Bhutan flight. While actual visa stamped at passport on arrival in Bhutan. As of date, Visa fee is USD 40 which should be paid along with tour price.
Along with visa, we also email Bhutan flight tickets and copy of service voucher and a detail tour itinerary. Travellers are now ready to travel & explore this wonderful Shangri-La, the Land of Happiness.
Same policy applies for Regional and International Tourists
The tour will not be cancelled unless we are forced to do so because of unusual or unforeseeable circumstances (force majeure), such as a major natural disaster, disease outbreak, major political unrest or war.
We highly recommend all passenger have travel insurance coverage, this should include adequate cover for emergency evacuation and repatriation. Please buy travel insurance policy from insurance company at your home country. All support staff are adequately insured by our company.
If, due to any reason or circumstances, you cancel your trip with us, we will refund the amount paid with some conditions. The refund amount will be reimbursed according to the cancellation policy of each hotel, airlines and other local service providers. The exact refund conditions shall be discussed on case to case basis depending on the situation.
